Chris Brown,Gladys Knight, President Obama, Khloe Kardashian
Chris Brown is slowly but surely getting his swag back. First Ester Dean’s “Drop It Low” and now Chris has teamed up with Julez Santana on “Back to the Crib.” While Chris is working on his comeback collabos, Rhianna is back in the studio with the likes of Justin Timberlake, and Neyo working on her fourth album.
First Oprah, then Anita Baker and now Gladys Knight. Glady’s Knight bashed the state of Hip-Hop in the head with a brick when she recently said:
"Well, it’s been good as far as giving young artists an opportunity to get out there. But, it’s been bad, in my opinion, as far as the quality of the music and the stories that they tell. It’s one thing to be raw about your history, but they took it to another level and it became vulgar. It has not elevated our industry musically, and it definitely has not elevated us as African-Americans because we show disrespect for our partners, men and women. I believe we have lowered our self-esteem with these performances and presentations."
Although I agree with her statement, Gladys along with the other uppity black folk who always seem to have something negative to say about Hip Hop should learn to differentiate Hip Hop Artist from Rappers-Rappers spill nonsense; Hip Hop artist spit the truth!
If you missed it, check out President Obama on the Late Show last night...Blah, Blah, Blah. Yea, I said it. I am so OVER Obama. I am still, along with millions of other Americans, twiddling my thumbs wondering when change is gon come. I know that it takes time and hell, Rome wasn’t built in a day, but damn! I’m feigning for change like Blue Cantrell is feigning for another hit!
It is confirmed, Khloe Kardashian will wed her boyfriend of one month, NBA player, Lamar Odom in an intimate Los Angeles wedding ceremony. I'm still shaking my head and rolling my eyes at this madness! People are concerned with gays ruining the sanctity of marriage, what about publicity seeking celebs? Getting married and birthing babies out of wedlock seems to be the new trend in Hollywood. Traa-gedy!
